After a meeting in Elko, members planted trees at a local park.
The Nevada Shade Tree Council is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization of concerned citizens from throughout the state. Our common goal is to improve community forests and green spaces.


A columnar oak was planted in honor of the late Damon Ohlerking at the UNLV campus where he taught.
The tree was funded by the Cleaner Air Tree by Tree Grant.




Membership is open to individuals, homeowners’ associations, shade tree commissions, beautification committees, private organizations, school groups and businesses that want to plant and improve the health of trees in their communities. By joining the Council, you can express your concerns and exert influence on urban community forestry issues.





Plants offered to residents at Marble Manor by NSTC.
NSTC planted several trees at Marble Manor in North Las Vegas, as well as offering residents plants and information.
